| Isx cm871 white smoke This is going to be a long one. 2007 Peterbilt Isx cm871 Truck started out with wiring issues. No communication with dash, replaced oem harness from Ecm to Firewall, repinned firewall inside cab, fixed dash, then truck started having sensor issues with low coolant, new tank new sensor, didn’t fix it, installed test ecm didn’t fix, put magnets on sensor didn’t fix, found new Harness was pinned Wrong from Peterbilt. Now that’s fixed. Less then a week later starts having white smoke issues. Heavy raw fuel, test doser injector. It tested bad, replaced it took out dpf had it tested it Failed, replaced It. Still Have white smoke issues, Start down the list of items in quickserve for symptoms, did injector leak test using the bolt On block. Found cylinders 1-2-3-5-6 all Had compression leaking back through into fuel system. Replaced all 6 injectors, ran truck Up To temp after install ran great. At 195 degrees blew head gasket cylinder 1-2, Pulled head found head cracked. Installed new head, Truck now has new head, new injector, base timing set correctly, new ecm, new front fuel Soldinode and new timing solid nose for first 3 cylinders. And a new ecm, Still smokes white smoke and loses 1-2-3 cylinders over 150’degress and blows white smoke. So I bought a used IFSM and installed it, still now change over 150 degrees it drops 1-2-3 and smokes white fuel Smoke directly out of manifold with exhaust unhooked and egr unhooked | |||

| RE: Isx cm871 white smoke == The first major mistake was not inframing it properly and raising liner heights when the head came off it. - It is going to fail again, blown head gasket and ruined cylinder head in a few months as everythig was disturbed and not compensated for. == NEXT: if it has a delete program in it, that is priority to have checked ASAP as it can be causing the failures to begin with. some of your post also does not make sense either. was it purchased in this state?... or all of the sudden these things were happening?. Also, someone changing all 6 injectors and it failing the injector leak test sounds sus that many would be bad. -- Did someone do an overhead valve adjustment BEFORE doing the tests?.. if not then that alone can make them fail tests if the overhead it is even slightly of adjustment from a few years of run time alone. did anyone do the tests again after the new injecrors were installed?. (if it is not deleted)... == What about doing EGR cooler leak tests?... info: https://youtu.be/tNmQnAJzmVo?si=JP653IbN9FDmS8He === last but not least,... has anyone bothered to put a gap between the exhaust manifold and cylinder head to see what hole(s) are smoking?...--- because if it is only one or 2 holes, then it could be wet-stacking issue or an injector or other issue still present. | RE: Isx cm871 white smoke Not deleted fully intact after treatment. Cylinders 1-2-3 all made bubbles while baring the engine over, Replaced those three injectors. Performed test after install no more bubbles on 1-2-3 still Had issues, ran test in rear 3 found 2 making bubbles, replaced all 3, no more bubbles. Egr cooler removed, cleaned and pressure tested. With egr disconnected truck makes smoke out of manifold to egr cooler once over 150 degrees. All liners in spec per quickserve measured each liner in 6 spots. Within spec per liner and between each liner. Original problem was wiring additional problem happened after repairing wiring with in a week. | |||
