Random truck shut off. Spn 3510 2009 international prostar Cummins isx. Randomly shut off as I came to a stop. was running fine. Showing spn 3510. Truck just cranks forever but I can’t get it to turn on. Fuel isn’t the issue. Is my ecm toast?

RE: Random truck shut off. Spn 3510 Very possible. Try giving it a good smack on top of the ECM.

RE: Random truck shut off. Spn 3510 One way to see if it is the ECM, watch the oil pressure gauge in the dash while cranking. After about 15-20 seconds, it should show a few PSI above zero in the dash. If not then Use the Insite software to make sure it is communicating and can read sensors, etc. properly. == It could also be the gear driven fuel pump. Use Insite software to see what the fuel pressure is while cranking. It should be upwards of 100+ PSI after several seconds. - If it is down around ~50 psi or below, the ecm will not put fuel into the cylinders. Man thank you, I am showing oil pressure while cranking does this mean bad ecm is out of the question? It is only 6 months old. I’ve already unbolted my turbo from the manifold to see if maybe it got stuck shut but it still just cranks over so I don’t think it’s turbo related. I’m getting spn 3510 but not sure exactly what sensor that relates to. At this point I’m thinking computer isn’t getting enough signal to let fuel thru.

RE: Random truck shut off. Spn 3510 Today the truck turned on. Shut off on me 3 times running but able to turn back on. Been on the road 100 miles already with no issue. No idea what happened
