It does do its check when the key is turned on. The injection pump was just replaced as we thought the same thing. no engine light or codes as of now and no metal in fuel system. Its really got us stumped. i have even contacted freightliner and they are just as confused as us. This has the 3 filter to 2 filter conversion on it and dont have alot of info on that and the ecm tells the computer that it has no low side pressure even though it does when checking mechanically with guage. The sensor is good cause i had it installed on another truck and tested it that way. has a new engine harness.
