Sounds like your drinking the coolaide hard on that one?.

... and btw: Syn oils have ZERO advantage over top brands of dyno oils except in very extreme cold environments+ having to do regular cold starts. - Anyone who would say different is a salesman or is ill-informed.

NEXT: You mentioned extended oil changes ... (assuming you meant some kind of aftermarket bypass filtration + not changing oils for really long periods based on oil sampling)... THIS IS THE KISS OF DEATH and should NEVER EVER EVER be done on commercial equipment. Premature cam failures and other issues are the result. - Bypass filtration to reduce soot levels between oil changes on a non-deleted engine.. sure.. but extending the oil change intervals --- NOPE!

Here are the recommendations for the ISX... Unless there is some vastly different technology going one somewhere ... detroit DD13/15 should not be that much different ...
