RE: Random truck shut off. Spn 3510 One way to see if it is the ECM, watch the oil pressure gauge in the dash while cranking. After about 15-20 seconds, it should show a few PSI above zero in the dash. If not then Use the Insite software to make sure it is communicating and can read sensors, etc. properly. == It could also be the gear driven fuel pump. Use Insite software to see what the fuel pressure is while cranking. It should be upwards of 100+ PSI after several seconds. - If it is down around ~50 psi or below, the ecm will not put fuel into the cylinders.
