Do I have to input the trim codes for the injectors on the new motor to the old ecm?

---------------

Just so their is no miscommunication I am trying to get the 79940637 engine to run in the truck.

Just checked with Cummins the engine harness is identical same part number for both #4373989..

- It sounds like I had it the other way around, your first post was not clear. .. but in either case. ...

== Use the ecm that came off the old engine.

== Since the harness part#'s are identical, then you should be able to use the newer harness if needed.

== As far as power/torque settings go ... simply copying the program from the ecm using the CT software, and e-mailing it to me.. The power/torque can be changed to what ever level is desired, within reason.
