RE: A BAD DELETE? (11-10-2021 )Jay Wrote: Thanks for your review, I was wondering if you can help me on tuning this truck up or if you know somebody I can send this file , ... as far as straightening out an ISX ... * Does it still have the VGT turbo on it? (hopefully it does). - some of the codes were blocked in the bad-delete program making it unclear. *Is the egr cooler still on it?. (hopefully it does). As far as the programming itself goes... (Step 1). -= using the Calterm Software ... The old (bad) program needs to be copied out of the ECM using clterms "Upload" feature. - This also establishes that someone is able to copy in/out the program correctly .. and to ensure that, if any truck specific settings get lost, this old (bad) program can be referenced to see what they were. Here are some 'how-to's on getting this done... https://motorstate.com.ua/upload/product...to_ECU.pdf https://motorstate.com.ua/upload/product...of_ECU.pdf or a video of this ... https://www.bitchute.com/video/bodZrPh2c93u/ (or)- https://rawze.com/forums/showthread.php?...5#pid72945 Close Caltrm software when done and open Insite ... (Step 2). -= Using the Insite Software ... Flash the ECM back to the latest version of its original factory programming, according to the engine serial number (the ESN#). - Do not try to "uprate" the power, etc., this is not necessary. It is better to use the exact matching program. The engine needs a clean, factory-original, un-molested file put back into it to get rid of someone else's garbage delete. (Step 3). -= next: Any time the factory programming is put back in, the engine ecm eill re-learn some stuffs during its frst 10 minutes of run time. Let it run/key on for 10 minutes before doing anything else. - This is so that it can silently re-build, learn, and clean out all the ECM memory properly. This process should not be interrupted. -- Have the fresh, clean, un-buggared file edited correctly, etc. To do this... (Step 4). -= After 10 mins of run time ... using the Calterm Software ... Using the same method (using calterm software) that was used to copy out the bad program ... - Copy out the Clean program. The now clean factory program can be copied out and sent (e-mailed) off so that it can be edited (properly de-mandated instead of some garbage method that it had in it before). (Step 5). -= using the CT Software, putting edited file back in after changes were made... Using almost the same method (using calterm software) that was used to copy the file out, ... using the "Download" feature of CT, put the finished file back into the ECM.// ex: https://motorstate.com.ua/upload/product...backup.pdf a video of this... https://www.bitchute.com/video/VtxZysYP9YbR/ -= last: Ensuring 100% that any necessary hardware mods that are needed, are done correctly. I.E.> ... * If you are able to pull the program using the CT software yourself / have a laptop with an adapter, then a person could easily straighten it out all on your own without it costing them anything. Also, Just about any stealers$it can put the factory programming back in it with the latest OEM software for the truck according to its ser#. <- most stealers$its can put it back stock programming. However, you have to remove and take the ecm to them to have it "Bench Flashed", as the truck will derate if you try to drive it away after you do this. Again, here is another even more detailed explanation of what needs to happen in a nut shell.. ref: http://rawze.com/forums/showthread.php?t...5#pid58675 User's Signature: ->: What I post is just my own thoughts and Opinions! --- I AM Full Of S__T!. | |||
