Insite 7.6.0,1,2 on windows 11
Cant get 7.6.xxx to load on my New Windows 11 machine from CD.
Every firewall etc. including internet is OFF
This machine was purchased for Insite ONLY ---nothing else !

My CD release date 05-2016

Is windows 11 compatible with this version ?

I CAN get it to load on my old Windows 7 machine.....

It seems there is a setting or something stopping it ??????

Thank you for any input.
J.

You need .net framework that doesn’t come with windows 11

I doubt it will work but i maybe wrong. you might want to go back to windows 10 from a reboot drive. and download whatever bit of insite you have to match with windows. again i may be wrong but wait for more people to reply to your post first.

this is usually the issue. Win11 does not come with the old .net drivers for old windoes applications.

I know it's been a couple years for this thread. Any updates or new info on getting this to work under win 11?

As a life long linux user I only booted into the preinstalled windows once in order to repartition the internal drive and forgot all about windows existence, until today, when I went to repurpose the laptop for truck diagnostics. So, this old laptop that I thought was win10 actually shipped with win11 (from 2021). Will this default win11 install be usable or do I need to try a win10 iso?

plenty of people get it working on win11... that is, after they ... just like in win10 ... fight its ms-defender garbage to get it switched off and other hassles.

RE: Insite 7.6.0,1,2 on windows 11
Is there a comprehensive windows 10 or 11 specific guide anywhere? I've been searching, but so far all I can find are either little snippets of info or tutorials based on older winXP/7 installs. Maybe someone can put together a "prep" tutorial or video which only covers the needed steps for win10/win11? The actual installer/post install parts are quite well documented.

I've only passingly used win10 on my wife's computer and never used win11. My last insite install was on win7 and I had no issues there. Tried on win11 last night and it failed almost immediately due to missing files which I assume are part of the missing frameworks. That laptop has never been connected to a network while windows was running and I was hoping to keep it that way. I switched to linux before winXP came out, though I could still navigate XP and 7 because they were still pretty similar to 95/98.
