Big-name Delete Program Review ...
Someone sent me a program last night that was supposedly done my one of those big-name delete / after-garbage selling product companies out in western part of the USA. HEre is the review at a glance...

== Engine Ambient air temp, intake air temp, and turbo inlet temp inputs have been disabled/defeated. This degrades engine and turbo stability and performance. leading to engine/turbo damage over time.

== charge air flow, oxygen estimation and other important engine data has been disabled/defeated. This degrades engine and turbo stability and performance. leading to engine/turbo damage over time.

== exhaust manifold pressure has been disabled/defeated and set to 0-psi (the vacuum of outer-space). This degrades engine performance and allows the turbo to over-spool and destroy itself without warnings.

== Aftertreatment hardware & systems have not been properly switched off. Many inputs are still active, and fault codes are blocked instead.

== excessive use of blocked faults instead of shutting things down properly. This leads to ghost issues that no one can troubleshoot.

== Aftertreatment 'in-cylinder dosing' has been overridden and switched permanently ON. - With the AFT systems disabled, this leaves the ecm in a confused state.

== Max Fuel limit settings for many of engines operating modes has been LOWERED, degrading and de-stabilizing engine performance.This was also done in the engines passive/parked regen modes that should no longer be active, showing signs of someone not knowing what settings go to what engine modes.

== EGR gas intake requests in many engine operating modes has been heavily edited. They are set to asking MORE egr gas, instead of switching it off. This was also done in the engines passive/parked regen modes that should no longer be active, showing signs of someone not knowing what settings go to what engine modes. - This clearly looks like someone confused the air intake request mappings with with egr gas mappings, essentially setting them all incorrectly as a result.

== The base reference data for the engine compression ratio has been destroyed. This causes great harm to the engine over time, as it will use the wrong data for all combustion processes.

== injection fuel rail pressures have been RASED significantly, increasing fuel volatility. This wears out injectors rapidly, causes more stress and wear on the fuel pump, and has does NOT yield power gains, but rather leads directly to severe cylinder detonation and excessive friction issues that shorten the engine (cylinder head cracking, dropped liners, etc.) life significantly. This was also done in the engines passive/parked regen modes that should no longer be active, showing signs of someone not knowing what settings go to what engine modes.

== The injection timing settings have been completely destroyed and are now very harmful for the engine. It looks like someone copied injection timing mappings from much older model engine with lower compression ratios, etc. into this newer common rail engine, and they are nowhere compatible or safe at any power levels. - Results are fuel impingement issues that cause chewed up exhaust valve seats, possibly as cracked cylinder head, burnt injector tips, and passible cracked piston(s). Again, This was also done in the engines passive/parked regen modes that should no longer be active, showing signs of someone not knowing what settings go to what engine modes.

== The broadcast torque/power settings for the J1939 communications has been set to extremely high numbers. This makes the engine report power levels that are higher than actual.

== Engine operating mode switching logic has been set to ensure that EGR+ modes are selected and used instead of non-egr modes. This is completely the opposite towards making an egr delete, and causes the engine to harm itself over time assuming the egr gasses are present in the combustion chamber. - Again, this points directly towards someone NOT knowing what they were editing.

== All aux./fallback emissions systems + NOx and ammonia clamping are still in place. This will fight against the engine output directly, making for unstable power/torque, and silent derates/power losses.

== cylinder balancing and drift compensation data has been destroyed as a result of bad adjustment settings. This causes the engine to run rougher and stumble more often than normal.

== injector settings from a different model engine have been copied into this file. the injector programming no longer matches the injectors in the engine. - It is highly likely that someone copied this from another higher HP file, not knowing what it actually was. The result is NOT more power/torque, but unstable injection timing, incorrect fuel quantities, etc. and the ecm assuming the injectors are leaky.

== VGT turbo has not been re-programmed for a deleted engine. This will make it over-spool all the time leading to significantly shortened turbo and engine lifespan.

== Turbo speed and protection settings/tracking have been completely switched off. The turbo is allowed to over-spool, over-boost, and destroy itself without reporting anything is wrong.

SUMMARY: This is also supposedly a 'no power gain', so called 'factory tune' program. The reality however is that It is more like a 'lets make engine eat its own guts out' program instead.

Sad part is that the people selling garbage do a lot better selling the over hyped false promise products than the ones selling good reliable products.

due to all the bad delete companies being sponsored by truck shows, fancy-dancy wwwsites, chicks in bikkinnis, and all the moron followers with red-neck belt-buckle / chrome polish disease.
