Xcal info ISB BBN 2250 - Jwise - Yesterday Good morning, First time poster! I have read a lot of info here on these forums, and am a bit overwhelmed but excited to have this expansive knowledge base at my fingertips. I am hoping someone can assist me with a few things and just clear up some things for me. 1. I have created images inside of Insite of three trucks that I service. Can you obtain an ECFG from this image? Or is there a way to obtain the current efcg file from an ecm that is on the truck? 2. One of the three trucks is a rollback, the owner stated it was deleted but the high idle for the PTO does not work. After looking at parameters in insite, everything looks normal, but would you believe it, it has multiple active after treatment codes. I am assuming whoever did the tune just copied an pasted a crappy file into the ecm, or they just turned off the derate and check engine light functions of these codes. Would someone be willing to discuss this in a PM or over the phone to help me fully understand what I am looking for? I am sure there are answers to these questions on this forum, if someone wants to link them in replys I am happy to read. The trucks are 2011 F750 BBN 2250 Rollback 2012 F750 BBN 2250 Dump 2014 F750 BDH 2350 Stakebody RE: Xcal info ISB BBN 2250 - Rawze - Yesterday (Yesterday )Jwise Wrote: ... That is NOT an image of the ecm at all. Not whatsoever. Its only a backup of the features and parameters / vehicle specific settings like the cruise control button addresses on the j1939, other dash button addresses, etc... most of which that you can already see. - Insite cannot take an actual copy of the ecm programming itself. - The software needed to make an actual backup/image of the entire ecm programming is called Calterm. info in copying the program from the ecm... https://rawze.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=8425&pid=72945#pid72945 Also,.. assume that those deletes are bad ... REAL bad!. more than 90% of all de-mandate programming that i review a year is absolutely harmful to the engine over time. Most of them have the ecm perpetually stuck in rapid DPF warm-up mode, over-spooling the turbo all the time, + scraping the pistons internally to generate extra heat for a system that is not there any more. It eventually takes out head gaskets, cracks the head or a piston,. etc.. because the ecm is stuck in this mode forever once those cans have been hollowed out. RE: Xcal info ISB BBN 2250 - Jwise - Yesterday Thank you for the reply. I have Calderon 4.7. I think what is holding me back is the efcg file. When I open the program and select the BBN or BDH I do not have the efcg to proceed. I read through your link and went to the how to guides. Once I figure out the efcg files I will get the data off the ECM and send it over for your advise. RE: Xcal info ISB BBN 2250 - Rawze - Yesterday (Yesterday )Jwise Wrote: Thank you for the reply. Those files should be easily found... have been on various places across the interwebs for many years. -- easily obtained. You will have to get them from some other wwwsite though, as file sharing is not allowed on here. Maybe u get lucky and someone PM you with info on where to look. RE: Xcal info ISB BBN 2250 - mikkhh - Today You do not need matching config for upload or download. Use any similar ecm config. Like 2250 config for 2250. Not all are same, but try different ones. Open config file with text editor and there is table start address, if one does not succeed use others you have. Only table start address has to match for pulling the file. Documentig the file is other story, there has to be matching config to fully "see" everything in file and make neccessary adjustments. |
