RE: Future of trucking - 3406E - 09-25-2026 Saw that owner of Aurora Autonomous trucks on CNN said 30,000 driverless trucks by 2030 on the road. Let’s see how it goes. I wonder how they’ll handle the snow? RE: Future of trucking - tree98 - 09-25-2026 They might be safer than the guy taking pictures while driving........... RE: Future of trucking - 3406E - Yesterday Te$la semi caught fire and burned out. Just don't ... - park it in an enclosed space. - drive with the windows up, as the electric-only door handles may fail during a crash, and allow your whole family burn to death. - Drive when its raining, because you may have to drive it thru a mud puddle, allowing the $40,000 battery to get ruined by water. - Park it too close to other new vehicles right after it comes off the assembly line,.. as it may cause 30+ other EV's in the lot to catch fire as well. - etc.etc.etc... Just don't put it on 100% self drive without having your hands hovering above the steering wheel at all times because ... - it may not stop if your approaching a white truck trailer sideways across the road, making a left turn on a 4-lane, while your doing 60+ mph, unless you just want to be decapitated. - It may drive straight off a cliff on a curvy road. - It may get confused and slam directly into emergency vehicles at highway speeds late at night. - etc.etc.etc... ... ... because it will all be your own fault... because they are otherwise ... ehemm.. safe?!. |
