Yh, that’s good help. He bought the a brand new computer yesterday and sent me a picture,he just need to get it programmed now. He was running the hefty 2050 trq before but he pulls heavy loads.

Pay the few extra bucks and have dealer program ecm without truck first, if ecm is dead on arrival then you have bunch of hassle yourself.

I’ll let him know, thanks. I thought it was just a simple case of putting a file on it. Egr is deleted, still running vgt.

Keep your fingers crossed that it will be that easy, but mikkhh is right. If he hasn't opened the box yet I would take it to a dealer and have it bench flashed with the stock file then tune it later.

He had his friend come and program it, he’s all good! No issues
